Author Visit - Rachael Blythe

On Thursday 2nd March, the school celebrated World Book Day and it was fabulous and fun packed day. The children and staff dressed as their favourite book characters. It was interesting trying to  associate children and staff to their characters. It was all in good jest.

The children engaged in an exciting workshop with the author Rachael Blythe (a.k.a.Hippy G storyteller).

Her character was funny and children enjoyed every minute of the workshops. She encouraged them to retell different stories with her in the style of a rap. We never knew we had so many children with rap skills. All the children loved it and can’t wait for her to return another year.

Different activities were completed during the day. What a successful day it turned out to be.
