As part of Catholic Social Teaching in St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary, pupils undertake a variety of fundraising events to support different causes/charities. Some of these events fall under the umbrella of the school’s Enterprise4Charity. This year, Enterprise4Charity will focus on fundraising for HCPT (Hosanna House and Children Pilgrimage Trust). This is a charity organisation that takes children/adult with special educational needs and disability on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. Over the years, children from our school have had the privilege to attend this pilgrimage; fully funded by HCPT, Group 26.
To ensure our children continue to have this opportunity, we will aim to undertake this fundraising annually. This academic year, the event will take place on Friday 16th January; pupils will be encouraged to wear bright items of clothing/accessories to school. Each item will be worth a donation of 50p.
